Hong Kong Jockey Club Institute of Chinese Medicine (HKJCICM) is set up by the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government in May 2001 as the local focal point for action and coordination to steer Chinese medicine (CM) development. It was formed as a subsidiary of the Hong Kong Applied Science and Technology Research Institute Company Limited, with its research and development funding from the Hong Kong Jockey club Charities Trust (a pledged donation of HK$500 million).
