In advancing the development of Chinese medicine (CM) industry, HKJCICM is positioned to be a strategic platform in Hong Kong . We aim to build related capabilities locally, co-ordinate and leverage resources both within and outside Hong Kong .



Our research and development nuclei and collaborative projects and specific activities will contribute towards broadening the knowledge base of Chinese medicine, provide opportunities for high tech employment and facilitate exchanges, dissemination and application of research and industry-relevant information. The scope of our business embraces the following: -

(a) Funding R&D projects leveraging scientific and clinical expertise and available resources according to our programme directions;

(b) Promoting the commercialization of R&D outputs via licensing, spin-off, joint ventures with industry to affect effect technology transfer;

(c) Promoting Chinese medicine among the research and business communities, government offices and public institutions in Hong Kong , Mainland and aboard; and

(d) Raising awareness and stimulating interests among our stakeholders via R&D projects, forum group discussions and other specific activities.

HKJCICM's intellectual property and commercialization arrangements with partners will take into account the nature and arrangement of projects, and HKJCICM and partners' contribution of funds and intellect, and will be negotiated on a case by case case-by-case basis and subject to the Board of Directors' approval.
